Hi, I’m Lara

I am an organisational development professional, coaching in public sector organisations, the NHS and the charity sector since 2014.

I coach people who are looking to move forward intentionally with their careers and complex lives. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate and practical, helping you find clarity, confidence and choice while moving forward at a pace that feels safe. If therapeutic support is needed, I can help you think through what additional support might be helpful alongside coaching.

Alongside my organisational development work, I’ve supported women in the charity sector who have experienced domestic abuse to figure out how to get their careers back on track. This experience strengthened my ability to coach with sensitivity, care and strong boundaries — particularly when clients are navigating fear, confidence, loss, identity shifts, or rebuilding stability.

I also bring lived experience as a parent of a child with complex needs. It’s given me a deep understanding of the emotional and practical demands of caring responsibilities — and the importance of self-compassion, boundaries, and sustainable change.

Clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed or stuck, and leave with clearer boundaries, greater self-trust, and practical steps forward.

"Lara is a highly intuitive coach who gave me space to find answers I would never have found on my own."

My Coaching Philosophy

I create a spacious, non-judgmental environment for clients to think freely. I will work with you to build trust so that you feel comfortable enough to explore your beliefs, values, challenges and strengths to help move your thinking forward.

Coaching is a partnership, so there is no hierarchy between us…You are the expert in your own life and I will walk alongside you so that you feel empowered to find your own answers. Coaching often feels different from other conversations - it’s all about you, so what you need from a conversation is the absolute priority.

I use curiosity and open questions to help you think differently and move forward. Our sessions are future-focused - we’ll identify what you want to be different by the end of the programme and by the end of each conversation and then get you there, together,

My style is led completely by your thoughts, feelings and goals. We’ll spend time getting to know each other so that you feel comfortable sharing with me, and so we can build a warm trusting relationship.

My coaching is trauma-informed — meaning I prioritise emotional safety, trust, and choice. . Coaching isn’t therapy, but it can be a supportive space to move forward after difficult experiences.

“I have found Lara's approach to be empathetic yet appropriately challenging in a way that has helped me to develop fresh perspectives. These have been very helpful for me to take away and reflect on. She listened very carefully and picked up on nuances and themes that she sensitively reflected back to me. This helped me to crystalise what could at times feel like a tangle of thoughts or feelings about a situation. Whilst I feel Lara would successfully support a whole range of clients, I did find that she provided a particularly safe space for me as a female client with young children facing the particular challenges that these elements can pose in the workplace”
